The Rescue Stud is used to salvage a length of cable that for one reason or another needs a new terminal end, either because the strand was cut too short or the current terminal needs to be changed or that terminal has failed – the Rescue Stud can be used to splice a new length of cable to the strand so a new terminal end can be attached. The splice can be hidden inside one post back from the end or in the field so that it shows. For a long strand of wire it beats wasting the whole strand.
