Our standard assemblies include a length of 1/8″ cable with a 4 1/4″ threaded terminal machine swaged to one end. The second end is an identical 4 1/4″ threaded terminal that you will hand swage once you have determined your final length. We prefer this method over the use of a “Quick Connect” or “Push Lock” fitting because it allows you to tighten your cables from both ends giving you two times more “tightening travel” per strand. This can be a big advantage should you strip out a terminal or need the extra thread length to get your cables tight. The other advantage is cost: a threaded terminal costs about 1/3 what a Quick Connect fitting costs, and multiplied by the number of strands you need, that can be very significant.
